My Favorite Vampire Romance Books and Their Authors
With the success of the book and movie Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, vampire romance books have become extremely popular in the romance book market of today. Stephenie Meyer went on to create a series of vampire romance books known as the Twilight Saga, focusing on the characters of Bella (human) and Edward (the vampire love interest). However, Meyer is not the only vampire romance book author to write good vampire romance books. There are many other notable authors of vampire romance books that you should be aware of. Below are two other vampire book authors that you might enjoy reading. Their books have also been made into a visual medium. With these two authors, though, their vampire romance books have been made into T.V. series.
Charlaine Harris – True Blood, the famed T.V. series is based on the series of vampire romance novels created by Charlaine Harris. Her original vampire book, Dead Until Dark, is the first in a series of vampire romance novels that introduces Sookie Stackhouse to the vampire world. In this story, vampires have ‘come out’ of hiding and entered the real world as an active part of society. The books start with Sookie’s relationship with her vampire boyfriend Bill, but Sookie soon finds out that the vampire world is more complicated than she could imagine. Charlaine Harris’ series of books are definitely worth reading but if you are a True Blood fan, don’t expect the books to T.V. series plot exactly. A lot of embellishments are included in the made-for-T.V. plots. The books themselves delve deeper into Sookie and Bill’s thoughts and relationship and each book has an interesting story behind it with a mystery to solve.
L. J. Smith – If you have ever watched the T.V. series, The Vampire Diaries, you really should read the books too. L. J. Smith is the vampire romance book author that created the characters and the basic plot behind the T.V. scenes. Elena is the human element and her primary love interest is Stephan, who happens to be a vampire. A complication arises when Stephan’s brother Damon is also in love with Elena, so a rivalry is present to make the story more interesting. Damon is the ‘evil’ type of vampire, whereas Stephan is the ‘good’ one. The three battle the forces of evil and vampires together, though, to keep their hometown of Mystic Falls safe. The actual vampire romance books by L. J. Smith vary quite a bit from the T.V. series, but they do include all the basic characters. The books present quite a good read if you don’t mind straying from the T.V. stories. Hey, might as well get cheap car insurance for convicted drivers while you are here if you need it.
If you are into vampire romance world and vampire romance books, you would definitely enjoy reading the stories from the vampire book authors mentioned above. You have to remember, though, that viewing the stories in movies or on T.V. is not the same as reading the works. Books can delve deeper into the characters mind works, and many visual enhancements are made in the filming to make the story more understandable to the audience. All of the books by these authors, though, make love and romance a part of their stories, with the vampire twist to enhance the traditional romance novel experience.

I want the book to be a teen romance that focuses mainly on the romance and not so much friends or parental issues or stuff. I mean, it can have that, but I want it to be essentially romance. And teen romances. Yeah. Any suggestions? Have you seen the rates on the cheapest car insurance rates.

More of Sarah Dessen’s works, like Truth about Forever and Just Listen. I found those books outstanding. Burned is fantastic, by Ellie Hopkins, but it has a lot about her problems in life, with her abusive father and bad family background. Sorry I couldn’t help more!
Everything else by Sarah Dessen. Take Me There by Susane Colasanti, same author of When It Happens. Bloom by Elizabeth Scott. Perfect You & Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott (though there is less romance.)
